3rd Annual Howl-o-ween Walk

Yesterday was the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association’s big fund raiser, the Howl-o-ween walk. It was a beautiful day for the walk, lots of dogs and owners participated not only in the walk, but also the vendor booths and the wonderful gift baskets that were raffled off. But the best part was the dogs. Even more so because it was dogs in costumes! The time and thought people put into this will never cease to amaze me. One couple had 5 dogs, I got a photo but not all of the dogs are in the picture. Each dog was dressed as a character from the Wizard of Oz. They had the scarecrow, cowardly lion, tin man, Dorothy, the witch and they borrowed another dog from a by-stander, a Cairn Terrier to be Toto. They had a basket with stuffed flying monkeys attached to it that Dorothy sat in. Those folks put a lot of thought and effort into it.

There was a little brown Chihuahua who had been decorated to look like a fawn. Isn’t it the cutest?

My favorite was Little Miss Muffet. Not only is it a Great Dane in a pink dress, but she actually had a “tuffet” to sit on.

It was a beautiful day for a nice walk and a lot of fun whether you were a spectator or a participant. Don’t you wonder what the dogs think of it all?
